Rick Steves - Travel as a Political Act

Rick Steves is a travel expert whose publications and programs have encouraged millions to expand their world view through travel. Living a third of his life out of a suitcase, he credits global travel for shaping his politics and broadening his social consciousness. A graduate of the University of Washington, he is the founder of Europe through the Back Door, a Washington-based company that has produced 50 books on travel, the PBS series Rick Steves’ Europe, and the radio show Travel with Rick Steves, broadcast weekly on public radio.
