Siyad SallahSingle Camera Production
This track is for people planning to produce programs using a single camera
in the field. Examples: event coverage,
gathering b-roll, documentary filmmaking, man on the street, on location
interviews, etc.
Access 102: Basic Camera
Dates: Second Tuesday of each Month @ 6:30PM
Cost: $30 for members, $15 for limited income
members
Instructor: Ed Sanders
Become certified on the PD 170 and DSR 250.In this class you will learn how
to utilize the tripod, the Sony DSR 250 and its features and the Sony PD 170
and its features. This class is required to utilize SPNN cameras to produce
your program.
Access 103: Basic Editing

This
is a 2 hour class on learning the basics of Final Cut Express. FCE is the more advanced non linear edit
system for Macintosh. We will teach you how to import video, add titles, and
take advantage of Final Cut’s multiple audio and video tracks in order to
create a very professional looking video.
Access 104: Field Lighting Class

Learn the basics of three point lighting.
This class will cover the safety issues regarding light, will talk about
each of SPNN’s light kits, what is in them, how to use them safely and in which
situations they should be used. If you want to utilize SPNN’s light kits you
need to take this class.
Access 204:Interview Lighting Workshop

Pre-requisite: Field Lighting Class
Learn to record professional looking and well lit
interviews for your next project. In this class you will learn how to utilize
lights and accessories available at SPNN to create great looking interviews
full of color and texture. We will cover 3 point lighting and learn how
gels, dimmers, cookies and reflectors can give you a large amount of creativity
and flexibility. This is a great class for beginners!
Access 201: FIELD AUDIO WORKSHOP-

Cost is $25 for members, $40 Non Members
Instructor: Todd Berntson
They
say people can be more forgiving of bad looking video but bad audio makes a
video even harder to watch. In this two
hour workshop you will learn the basics of what type of mic to use depending on
which situation you are in. Instructor
Todd Berntson will offer in class hands on demos that will give you a better
understanding of which microphone to use and when. Todd Berntson has experience with all aspects
of production including script writing, direction, location audio,
cinematography and editing.
201- Advanced Camera

Learn the more advanced functions of the digital cameras.
Access 300: COPYRIGHT & RELEASE FORM WORKSHOP

What is a copyright and how does it affect you? Are you currently having your interview
subjects sign release forms for your video projects? This two hour workshop will introduce you to
ways to protect your work and protect yourself on your future video
projects. Kenneth Kunkle of Kunkle Law
Office will go over common questions many creative people have concerning
protection of their work and offer suggestions on how to protect yourself with
the use of release forms. Kunkle is a Minnesota lawyer and a graduate of Hamline
University School of Law. Kunkle has been providing legal services to the
Twin Cities business community, and focuses on issues affecting the technology,
graphic and fine arts, and entertainment (music, film, and publishing)
industries.
