SPNN Access opens doors for the Art Crawl
Access member Christine Huff shows visitors a field camera. On Friday, October 9th, the SPNN Access Center opened our doors for the 20th anniversary St. Paul Art Crawl. We wanted to hold a fun, artistic evening to introduce community members to the creative potential here at SPNN.
To put together a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere, Access Coordinator Sherine Onukwuwe put together an eclectic display of art created by Ed Sanders (an SPNN staff member), Christy Sanders, Geore Roedeler, Paul Foasaaen, Lori Chilefone, L. Stark, and three historic Saint Paul prints by unknown artists. The show is up now on the walls of the Access Center, and is open to the public during all regular hours. There were snacks and drinks, and a display of DVD’s from our Community Productions series on Lowertown artists.
Access members Dwayne Cannady, Jeremy Daves, Christine Huff, and Aaron Thomas volunteered their time to staff the edit suites and our multi-camera television studio during the open house, offering visitors information on the technology we have on hand. Guests had time to have in-depth discussions with our members about the opportunities available at SPNN while touring the facilities.
Thanks to all who stopped by - everyone at SPNN had a great time. Keep your eyes peeled for our next Art Crawl Open House- we have lots of surprises in store for you!
