Set It Up Crew Tours Twin Cities Media Organizations

Set It Up recently went on a fun field trip to different media organizations in the Twin Cities to observe how other media centers do their work. First, the crew visited Intermedia Arts, a multidisciplinary arts facility in Uptown in Minneapolis. They got to observe Dimensions of Indigenous, the current exhibit on display in the IA gallery and even got a few minutes to play some table tennis.

Next, the crew visited IFP Minnesota on University Avenue in St Paul to learn about media-making programs and resources available there. Their journey led them through the editing suites and a dark room complete with a 360-degree spinning door. IFP was also hosting an exhibit that the crew got to take in. This exhibit featured authentic American soldier photography. In addition to a well-deserved break from production work on their first episode of the 2011-2012 season of Set It Up, the crew members returned with an enlarged sense of the media community in the Twin Cities.

SPNN Youth, IFP Media Arts Minnesota, and Intermedia Arts are all members of the Twin Cities Youth Media Alliance.
