Last week, ten folks gathered at SPNN Studios to learn about the wonderful world of grantwriting.  Topics covered included: fiscal agency, researching potential funders and best practices for writing a proposal.  It was a good, wide-ranging conversation and, if you were unable to attend but would like to learn more, I'd point you to these resources:

As you may know by now we've launched the public portion of our Equipping SPNN Youth campaign.  I thought I'd take a moment to go over what will happen in the next few months, and outline the areas where folks can get involved to help us reach the finish line.

The train that is our fundraising campaign will make three stops in the next five months.  1)  Give to the Max Day, 2) The End of the Year campaign, and 3) Our SPNN Showcase in April.

Ten years ago this morning I awoke to the sound of my cell phone ringing.  I got up out of bed, found the phone in one of my couches’ cushions, and it rang in my hand. 

“Have you heard the news?” My sister said. 

“No.”

“Turn on the tv,” she said.

On the screen I saw an overhead shot of wreckage and a caption that broke my heart.

Shhhhh….. Our campaign’s ‘quiet’ stage isn’t quite over. We’ve got to keep quiet, for now, but gosh its tough because the finish line is in sight! I can see it: $115,000 raised for new gear in SPNN Youth… uh oh. I think I said too much. Look…

Interested in development? Apply to intern at SPNN

SPNN is hiring a Development Intern! We’re looking for someone interested in areas including grant research, special events, and donor communications to assist our Development Director.
