Make a Documentary
Make a documentaryIf you missed last Tuesday’s class “So You Wanna Make a Doc” it’s not too late to learn some vital information for creating a documentary. This Tuesday Sergio Rapu will be offering a Gathering B-Roll class. Interviews are the backbone to any documentary, however capturing great b-roll coverage will only help take those same interviews to another level. Shooting great b-roll is not random, in fact, there is so much you can do to ensure that you get fantastic footage with a little planning and some helpful shooting techniques.
In this class guest instructor Sergio Rapu of Mara Films will show examples of b-roll footage and demonstrate ways to hold your camera, frame your shots and so much more. This class is a great introductory workshop for the beginning film and video folks who wants to learn how to tell a better story visually. Sergio Rapu received his BA in Television Production from Loyola Marymount University in California. In 2006 he established Mara Films, a multimedia production company serving the film, television and web/mobile industries.
The class is at 6:30 Tuesday September 25. Cost for the class is $25 for members, $15 for limited income members, and $40 for non-members. This is one class in a series of workshops on making a documentary film. We are offering discounts for taking multiple classes. If you take 3 classes you will receive half of your fourth class.
